2004 Pierre Sparr, Riesling, Alsace ($11.49 Kappys). Alcohol level: 12.5%. Lots of flowers and no petrol on the nose (could be youth). Lime and apples up front. Crisp and well structured with some minerality in the middle. Dry as a bone. Lovely finish.

Matched with Maryland crab cakes, eggplant salad, and rolls. Hope the Lord forgives us for such a nice Friday night dinner.
