Had these two with (very, ooops)Spicy Scallop, Shrimp and Veggie Lo-mein.

1996 Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett: Light straw with very light green tinge. Peach, apricot, apple, spice in nose and mouth. Zesty acids. Light body. Thought the '94 was a bit sweeter. Kind of short finish. Nothing special, no major flaws.

1995 von Simmern Erbacher Macrobrunn Riesling Kabinett: Light gold/hay color. Definite petrol in the nose with pear, peach, floral, honey and almonds in the nose and mouth. Good acid, but not as sharp as above. Medium finish. This had a bit more "going on" than the above, but cost $4 more. Even though a Kabinett, this might be interesting to see where it goes in a couple of years.

Glad I tried these before the lo-mein because afterwards all I could taste was the Silvedene
