I have been given a couple of bottles of 1997 Blank De Noir - Sonoma County Champaigne (Windsor Vineyards) as a gift. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination...curious to know how long would these bottles be worth keeping around before we pop the cork to celebrate special moments?

No better time to pop them than Friday night around midnight. They will last a little longer, but not get much better, and certainly neither you nor they will last another thousand years.

You have a gold medal winner on your hands, and a very nice wine.

It is ready to enjoy, but should hold nicely, proper storage being a given, for at least five years.
