Egly-Ouiret NV Grand Cru Brut
$33

From the grand cru vineyards of Ambonnay and Bouzy.

Yellow color with fantastically tight streamers of tiny bubbles. Gorgeous nose of light citrus (lemon?) and possible berry notes, cream and other stuff I can't identify. As close as I came was a white cake with some odd frostings I had sampled earlier that day. Fills the palate with richness and fullness that blends into a long and gentle finish.

Very limited distribution in the US, but if you can find it; buy it, buy it, buy it. My only regret is I don't have the bucks to buy several cases of this beauty. I opened it so the Wife and I could celebrate my recent promotion.

Me, too. Have you tried the Egly Rose yet? It's one of the best Rose Champagnes we've had.

Thanks Y'all!

Haven't been around much due to that promotion, but when I settle into the groove a bit, I'll be back in full force.

Good to have you back, Kathy.
