Had this in the back of the fridge so when a friend walked in, I pulled themm.

1 NV Freixnet split: as per before, it sparklers, looks pale and light and tastes like very little....

1 Mumm Napa Brut Split, as per last post, this is very nice, with a full cork and developing like you would expect a sparkling wine would, starting to get a little bit of nuttiness.

1 Domaine Chandon Split. Cleaner and fresher than the mum, like the Friexnet, under screwcap. Refreshing.

I don't drink sparkling wine that often but I like the idea of the splits. I will have to see if they are available locally or in Raleigh shops.

I love splits and half bottles cuz it allows me to open so many varieties...I know that WW might think of me as a sissy,.. ..

BTW, I got these on clearance,...they were $1-$2 each. That's simply below cost. I bought a couple of dozen to try out as there was a whole grocery cart full of them but when I went back the next day, they were gone.....should've just walked out with the cart.....

Hope you didn't buy them in MA, because selling below cost here is illegal. Strangely, though, it's legal to give them to you for free, but not at cost.

That is crazy!!! Why does someone have a say in what I do with my own goods????? Is it some rule to ensure that Alcohol is not used as a lost leader to bring people in so that they can get supposedly more drunk?? I really don't understand....
