Paul Goerge NV brut rose'

This is one of the first "pinks" we've had (since the seventies when they bottled NY State carburetor cleaner as "pink Champagne"). I found this wine alive with tropical fruits much in the same way as a Provencal rose' still wine. A bit more acid than a white but that must have be the nature of the beast, owing to its roots. This one in particular mimicked the lightest Provencal rose's, of which we are particularly fond. The mousse was a bit coarse compared to a Ponsardin or Bolly NV but for 23 bucks American, it's a wine worth enjoying some of those times that you are opening a brut but wishing you could afford to open a rose'.
