I have a 1988 Vintage Cuvue(sp?) Dom Perignon. Anybody know what this would be worth today? Also, is this something to save for, say TONIGHT! Or should I wait until say, I get married or something.

Hi R.W.& D. This is a bubbly that should be absolutely ready. Wow your sweet-one with this marvy bubbly and some chocalte covered stromberries. For what it's worth, it's selling for 250-300. WW

With the chocolate covered strawberries, can you dip them in the champagne or just take a bite then take a sip.

I know this must sound like a foolish question to all of you, but refer to my status (new member) and # of posts. I'm a begginer!

Thanks
Jim

Strawberry cold - Chocolate Dip warm

Dip strawberry and let the chocolate harden.

After that anything is game.

I normally take a bit of the chocolate covered and then a sip of champagne, but dipping would not be out of the question.

With Champagne, forget the chocolate. Dip the stawberries into sour cream, and then into brown sugar. Take a bite and then take a sip.

I agree with IK. The best chocolate-Champagne pair I have experienced is with white chocolate, but the strawberries are better.

Well, I decided to hold off on poppin the bubbly. I think I'll save it for a more special occasion. I don't need to impress my current gf of 2 years.

Thanks for the tip IK. Sounds really tempting.

If your current girl isn't worth sharing the bubbly, maybe you should break it off and move on (before she sees this posting)!

the strawberries w/ sour cream and brown sugar is a great idea. Make sure that they are the ripest berries you can find. When in season, Alpine strawberries (the little berries) are best for this. Chocolate is so yummy as well. Hmm- maybe have BOTH!!
