I need to pick a sparkling wine for my wedding. Anyone have ideas of how I can sample a bunch of inexpensive ones ( not necessarily champagne ) in one sitting without having to buy and open entire bottles?

Congratulations -- and may I recommend that you have a tasting party? Put together a list of sparklers you want to try. You get a bottle or two and tell your invitees to BYOB -- and tell them which ones to bring.

If you need recommendations, you can check this Board, either in this subject area or under the Novice area.

This could be part of another wedding-planning/shower activity or a stand-alone event.

Taste and enjoy.
