Suggestions of wines to enjoy in Portugal andSpain

I will be travelling to Lisbon, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Malaga and Barcelona. I am a real novice when it comes to wines but I would like to take the time while in these cities to enjoy their native wines. Any suggestions. Thanks for your suggestions. Jim

Do not worry about going there with pre-conceived notions about what to taste. Try the house wines, and then try the brand names, and then try them again. Explore. You will have a great time with each new wine, and you will likely discover good wines that are not exported to the U.S.
