This could easily be included in the Best Buy thread.
A blend of Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. Deep, warm flavors of spicy blackberry and cassis with hints of coffee and leather. Rustic with massive medium grained tannins from mid palate through the long finish at this young stage. This wine sez "I want meat!!!" I think with short term cellering this wine will really sing. 14.5% Alc/vol. $9.

Truth be told, our local WF has a nice selection, but is typically about $1-3 higher per bottle than even the specialty wine shops. Don't know why.

This one sounds good. BTW, the '02s are just starting to shake some tannins.

IK, don't you guys have Wegman's up there? It's like the Wal-mart of WholeFoods. Great selection of food and cheaper than any grocery near us. Thought you might since it was started in the northeast (somewhere in the finger lakes area I believe). Great dry-aged meats, all the seafood you could want, fois gras, 20 types of mushrooms, truffles, 600 - 800 types of cheese, 80 types of olives, etc. And it never takes long to get out of there; very good at staffing. Hattie, my wife, likes WholeFoods because of the location but I've started to do some more of the shopping because Wegman's is near my work.

Oh, and the wine..... I believe this is brought in by Jorge Ordonez. But a great wine all the same. I believe I got some creaminess on the palate with this wine when tasted but what really gets you is the concentration of the fruit. Great QPR. Thanks for the note as this reminded me to pick this up. Your note is spot on!
