'04 El Coto Rioja Crianza

2004 El Coto, Rioja, Crianza ($8.99 NH Liq Store). Alcohol level: 13%. It is a very nice under ten medium to full bodied wine.

It gives you a good dose of red fruit on the nose and upfront. There is more fruit with earthy tones, a considerable infusion of oak, and smooth tannin in the reasonably complex middle. It finished nicely. We will buy more.

We matched it with stuffed clams, and the last of the beans from our garden (we didn’t have a great crop).

We enjoyed another bottle tonight with a Gnocchi casserole and salad. It went absolutely perfectly.
