2001 Mas Donis Barrica (Monstant)

Very refined Rioja like red ($17.00). Tobacco and vanilla on the nose. Not as fruity as the Italian Salento that my party quaffed prior to this bottle but very smooth, almost smoky finish. I'm loving the reds coming from Spain these days. There is some serious value coming from Spain right now.

Parker gave this a 90 and I think that is right in the neighborhood.
