Well priced and well performing Rioja. As noted by others, this is more of a traditionalist Rioja. Leathery, earthy, dried fruit and wood in the traditional proportions, meaning that the wood and leather stand out with decent structure and balance. Perfect for a cool night. Not particularly complex but a steady and uncomplicated Rioja that you can grab on a Wednesday night,....which I did.
