Encountered in my quest for daily drinkers. Another, IMHO, contestant for P/Q king of the ant-hill. Not much info on the label as to content but seems to be mostly Tempranillo. Brite medium ruby. Nose has black currents, cherries, grilled meat and a tad of graphite. Solid entry, medium center, and a 4 lapper finish. Nice food wine and a decent sipper. 90/92 18 by the bax. 14%alc. WW

This is what I've found on the wine. Will have to look for it!

"Alvaro Palacios is doing great things in the Rioja Baja. This blend of 45% Tempranillo, 40% Garnacha, and 15% Graciano and Mazuelo is aged in French oak for 14 months. The warm 2005 vintage has been translated into a rich and generous palate, with notes of hedgerow, blackberries, vanillin and spice all evidenced. Excellent length and fine tannins; those who love the classic Rioja profile, with its intimations of decadence and comfort, will not be disappointed here."
(Simon Field MW, BBR Buyer)

Blackcurrant, liquorice, cherry liqueur, violet perfume – incredibly elegant. Textured tannin, black fruit, some smoked meat, dark cherry, cedar wood, gradual fade to a lengthy finish, yet still with strong concentration in the core fruit.

That's a good one, WW. It sounds like your palate and his are aligned.
