Several months and 25 pounds later, I'm working wine into my diet again, so thought I'd make a plug for the 2003 La Legua, from the up-and-coming Cigales region. It's 94% tempranillo (with 6% garnacha) and falls into the "international style" category, but it's not quite an oak bomb, either. It's full of delicious plum, blackberry, and raspberry taste, with a hint of chocolate and spice. Very nice, particularly at $9 per. 13.5% alcohol. (Sendiks)
