i have been given a bottle of 1981 faustino gran reserva how long should i keep it before opening when is it at its best also 2 bottles of faustino v gran reserva same questions please i need info about these wines cheers

Hi Pinkpatzy, and welcome to the Wine Board. If you go to the seach engine on this site and type in Fastino in lower case (not caps) you will find some info on various vintages of your wine, but not going back that far. There is more information on Google, but, again not going back to '81. This is a prestigious Spanish wine, and I have no reason to think it might be past its peak. I wouldn't hold it too much longer though.
