Pairing for rose' de Anjou?

Got a bottle of this thinking it was like a dry Provencal wine. Found out later that this type of wine is supposed to be a bit sweeter than the Tavels and Prov's. Anyone know what I should expect and what food pairs well with it.

I have had a couple of different roses from Anjou, and they were both more than a bit sweet. Definitely not my cup of tea (so to speak), I have given up on the appellation. If you expect something close to a rose from provence I think you will be disappointed. As for pairing: well, farmer cheese maybe. Or, if I were given a bottle by a friend who can't read my signals, I might try it with Thai food or something similar in spice/heat - although I would still bring a backup bottle of something else.

I reported on an Anjou rose' on another forum and thought it would be best as an aperitif or with light summer food (maybe a vegetarian meal or some type of fruity salad.

Or maybe some simply cooked salmon.

Thanks all. I think we'll go with the aperatif idea as we're not big on pairing sweet wine with food other than sauternes or TBA with cheese.
