1999 Messina Hof Papa Paolo Port

This stickie from the winery at Bryan, TX is a deep red in the glass, not syrupy at all, good fruit (whatever it is), 19% abv. Label says "Double barrel aged" and "Private Reserve". Gift from daughter's beau, along with a few bottles of Zin and Shiraz. Looking for some chocolate to accompany it but all seems to have left with relatives. Named in honor of the winemaker, Paul Bonarrigo. A nice sipper after Mexican food at our friend Carlos Garcia's El Chapparral Restaurant, a Helotes tradition (if you sit there long enough in a single evening, you'll see everyone you know).
