Ending vacation...sniff

Today is my last day in the great Northwest. Dear Aunt Marie and I have had a great time. She's incredible for almost 94 years of age! We arrived in Seattle, went to her daughter's island home in Puget Sound (accessible only by boat), stayed two days, back to the mainland (Everett, WA) to pick up a car to drive to Vancouver, CA for a fantastic Irish wedding bash, then back to return the car. Stayed overnight at a hotel in the marina at Everett, then boarded a train for a five hour ride to Portland, OR to spend a couple of days with another cousin. He gave us a BEAUTIFUL tour all around Mt. Hood. Talk about scenery...this flatlands NJ girl has never seen anything like it! The back on the train to Everett, to the boat back to the island. Sadly enough, tomorrow we jump back on the plane home. It's been a whirlwind, but lots of fun and fantastic weather. When it was 96-100 degrees with 100% humidity back in NJ, and it was 50 degrees in Oregon, I was feeling pretty lucky! You Northwesterners sure own a lovely part of the earth!
