One was a 1978 Val di Suga, Brunello di Montalcino, bought in 1985 for $13, and consumed in 1995. Just thinking about it brings back the finish.

Happiness is having an '89 in the cellar that is ready to go this year. Purchase price was about $12 higher or close to twice as much as the '78.
