The poster is impressive but I couldn't read the text (too small.) I attended a Dead Sea Scroll dinner last night (to coincide with museum exhibit in Raleigh) Dr. Carol Meyers spoke about the diet of the Palestine area at the time with wine being more prevalent than water but often diluted with water. Her husband, Dr. Eric Meyers spoke about the Quomran community. They are both archaeologists and he heads the Graduate Program of Religion at Duke. At one archaeological site in North Galilee they found a storage room with sixteen jars somewhat intact and many of them contained charred remains of grains, legumes or walnuts.
