Ok. Here's the skinny; LONG & hopefully not boring(as Meeny say). The limo picked up my grand-daughter, her hubby and great-GS, at 5pm, deposited him with the baby-sitters, and came to the house where the other 2 couples had driven(they live close). The menu was mesquite broiled Tri-Tips, Cougar Gold Cheddar and Pepper and Chive Cheeses,
Cornichons, Pesto and Sun-dried tomato tortilinos with a basil infused organic marinari sauce. The wine line-up and drinking order was as follows...1992 B.V. Tapestry, 1994 B.V. Tapestry, 1995 Pride,
1994 Hess Collection, 1997 Merryvale Profile
which we took in glasses on the limo and a bottle of 1994 Pradel Howell Mtn for the ride home. The concert was as flawless a performance as I've ever been privvy to and the group Jsna brought with her seemed to be tied at the umbilical. Tottally blew ebberbodi in the jernt into so meeny standing ovations I wanted to call a recess so I could set down.On the way home as the Pradel evaporated in the dry desert air it seemed only logical to stop at our favorite restaurant for dessert. When told they'd been closed for 45 minutes I got Jeffory on the phone, convinced him it was a matter of life or saneness and he said " COME ON DOWN ". Have no idea what dessert he fixes just remember saying I think we're eating the Tajmahal. So good with whatever vintage port we drank, if I didn't show the proper respect for the talent we'd been exposed to, I'da broke into song. As we now had kept the poor limo driver an hour & half over the contracted time, using some sense we let Jeff goand went home. I still think a bottle of 83 Trockberenauselese would have capt off the nite, but saner minds prevailed. Will review the wines whenced I regain control of me senses.ww
