Hi J&J.and welcome to our lil'ole' board. Are you looking at buying these wines as an investment? If so, then you may be looking at a long, long, time frame to show a profit. IMHO, the ONLY way to get into the wine business is as either A)....A vineyard owner...B)....A distributor...C)...A wealthy wine shop owner(sorry Foodie, couldn't resist)...or D) an individual who is buying to drink. I can assure you with relative confidence that the majority appreciation in the 10-year and older Granges' has been realized by whomever your considering buying them from. If you're absolutely determined to get into the wine investment business, the only thing to do is find a reputable merchant, buy French Bordeaux futures of the great years, buy only the 1st and super-second growths and make sure you havew proper storage for them. Then, maybe, jes' maybe, you mite show a profit in 10 years or so. winoweenie
