I fall for the tradition every year. Some years I like; Some I don't. This year, I found nothing worth drinking. That's not to say there wasn't anything worth drinking, I just didn't get my hands on anything worth drinking. I did happen to try the one you're talking about and it was horrible. Of course, that's just an opinion. Try it if you'ld like, but I find the wine a complete waste of money.

On another note, the suppliers (distributers) that still have this wine are selling at close-out prices at about $2/btl.

So, no, I don't dislike the tradition or the wine in general, but I didn't care for the wine in question when it was released. If a wine is horrible young, a little age isn't likely to change the wine for the better.
