2005 Villages Nouveau

Just a quick question...I know these only live for a couple of months, and they've now been marked down to $6-7/bottle. The guy at the wine store said they'd be good for another month or so, but being the skeptic I am I figured I'd ask someone who isn't potentially interested in unloading old inventory. What is the Villages Nouveau season? Is this 2005 Georges Dubeuf Villages already dead?
