Great idea Benny. Started over 20 years ago laying down wines for my grand-kids and by cracky they love it. If your basement stays in the low 60* mark in the summer you shouldn`t have a problem.Don`t know what part of Minn you`re in but I have a son who lives in Minneapolis and his basement works fine. Ports and the Amarones are good suggestions, BUT there are some stunning 96 and 97 Cabs out there that`ll be luscious in 20. I`ve also had a peek at the 2000 Calif vintage and will make a more complete barrel assesment next fall. Some good juice in the barrels rite now.Bye-the-Bye Boto, don`t know if this producer is worth shootin but I opened a Sartori 1986 Della Valpocelli Amarone that was stored precariously and it was vinegar. I`ll elaborate on our next E-Thingie. winoweenie
