There are LOTS of Chardonnay blends:

Aussies are big on Chard / Semillon or Chard / Sauvignon Blanc and we also have seen one that is equal parts Chard, Verdello and Riesling.

In Friuli and Alto Adige in Italy Chardonnay is often blended with Pinot Bianco, Tocai, Sauvignon or Ribolla Gialla.

In Champagne maybe 40% of the wines are blends of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir plus Pinot Meunier.

Many Soaves are up to 15% Chardonnay on top of the dominant Garganega.

And, of course, Kendall Jackson, Turning Leaf and many, many other mass market "Chardonnays" are actually up to 15% (sometimes even unfermented so there is residual sugar) Muscat. Chardonnay / Viognier blends are becoming a big thing in the south of France Muscat to get a similar result but are usually dry.

It's a big world, wine is a diverse and inspiring subject and almost anything you can think of has been done and / or is the status quo SOMEWHERE...

Roberto
