Welcome to the board beamer. There are many opinions on that subject.... some say 2-3 days if re-corked in a half-bottle; some say it's possible to hold it in the orginal 750 ml bottle with a squirt of an inert gas like Private Preserve and plugging with either the original cork or a rubber stopper. I sometimes hold a red overnight with VacuVin and a rubber stopper, then stick it in the fridge, but most members of this board snort at VacuVin. Not all reds hold up well overnight under any circumstances; in my experience, Pinot Noirs and Beaujolais are the first to fall apart and cab-dominant Bordeaux the last. You'll need to experiment with various methods and wines and find out what works for you.
