Hi kamoco, and welcome.

There are more knowledgable people here than I, and I am sure they can give you other sugestions.

But I would go with a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. One that I had reciently that I liked is Spy Valley. Kim Crawford is also good. Both can be found for less than $15.

Well some how I got switched over to this new post and now I see you may need a red wine. Probaly a Pinot Noir would work. Villa Mt. Eden or Pepperwood Grove are both good.

Just thought of another angle. A sparkling wine would be good also. If you can find a Prosecco that would go well, IMHO. It's not red but would be good for Valentines Day.
