I can't recall who bought them out, but there's no guaranty that the new owners would source the same grapes and/or produce a wine that tastes even similar.

Your best bet is you make another trip to Bern's and see if you can't negotiate to purchase a few bottles from the cellar there. Bern's is noted for not marking his wines up every 15 minutes, so even with restaurant mark-up it might not be outrageous.

And P.S....1979 was a generally underrated year and one of my favorites for Napa Valley Cabernet.
