I have a friend who loves Shiraz and believes she ONLY loves shiraz, but since she recently watched Sideways (like so many others, I'm sure), has a desire to try other varietals, particularly the pinot noir. She claims that she doesn't like pinot noir because it's not dry like shiraz (she calls it wussy wine). My understanding is that pinot noirs and shiraz can both be dry, but shiraz is generally a fuller-bodied wine with stronger flavors of spice. Am I mistaken? Any recommendations for a good dry PN, that's not too pricey?
