HELP!!!

My Husband is coming home from Iraq soon and I want to get a nice bottle of wine for the night he comes home. He loves wine and I dont really like it that much. I was wondering if anyone has any reccomendations on a good bottle of wine that doesnt have such a bitter taste? I will probably make some kind of desert also (i was thinking choc. souffle) so a wine that would go good with that would be nice. Thank you so much!
