Hi Dano, Welcome!

I assume you don't want to spend big bucks since you are new, so here's a list of inexpensive (under $20) but good cabs:

J. Lohr
Hess
Robert Mondavi
Sterling
Avalon
Liberty School
Scenario
Sebastiani (has a lot of oak)
Rodney Strong (again with the oak)

...and there are a lot of others. You might also just look for areas, like Napa, Stags Leap, Russian River, Guenoc, and Sonoma.
