Yes, a wine key is a wine opener or a corkscrew. I would suggest, that if you're bringing this to work to open bottles, PLEASE get a good quality one! The ones you find at a grocery store are often of cheaper quality. That is, their worm (the squiggly part that you insert into the cork to extract it) is so thin it can easily break. I would imagine that it would be VERY embarassing to be opening a bottle of wine for someone, and get your worm stuck in the cork! When you buy a wine key / corkscrew / bottle opener... try to touch it first, to make sure it's higher quality. When I waited tables in France, they gave me my corkscrew - and I was very happy to get a good one!
