I would like to deliver a special thank you to my colleague and friend who so kindly introduced me to French wine with the '98 Vacqueyras. I stopped in to a local Wine merchant here in Litchfield and explained my desire to reciprocate and the fact that my friend and his wife are French wine enthusiasts, if not connoisseurs. They favor Rhone wine. The proprietor is knowlegable as well as personable. He recommended what he described as a rare, 2000 Cote du Rhone named Mon Coeur produced by J.L. Chaves. I bought one bottle for $27.00. He also informed me that this vintage was imported in limited quantity and that only 10 cases of the entire import came into CT. Indeed the import house is The Wine Library, Inc in Petaluma CA, not one of the usual CT distributors. If this is a good wine and a realistic price, I would like to complete the purchase of a case for my friends' collection. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks again for your guidance.
