The Yellow Tail brand was established for the explicit purpose of disposing of surplus Australian wine in America. As Bern states, considering all the above, it isn't as bad as some other surplus reducing efforts such as Two Buck Chuck. Now YT has come out with a line of "Reserve" wines at the $10-$12 price point that are quite good.
