Let's answer the "where" first, because that's the easiest. You are in Pennsylvania; therefore you go to the Pennsylvania State Liquor Store. They do frequently have helpful sales clerks which is where you may have to go for advice. The reason is that the "what" is more difficult to answer. The only clue you give is "red." Price points are very important. You may not know much about wine, but you certainly know what you can afford. If you come back with that we can be of some help. In the interest of saving time you might just go to your state store and tell them you need an approachable red wine in the $XX.XX range. The approachable part, means you can take to your friend a ready to drink bottle of wine. That point is particulaly important if you are spending upwards of $20.00. Most less expensive wines are approachable on release.
