Hi there, I know that red is where all the benefits are due to the resveratols contained within with the soaked red skins...BUT just by chance are there any benefits with white wines??? Could someone please tell me if the whites do carry some benefits as I am noticing that my body does very well with the whites. The reds on the other hand, esp. the cabernet sauvigs, tend to give me a headache, and overall heaviness even with just 1 glass the last few times I have tried them with lunch/dinner. Is merlot considered a lighter red??? Pardon my lack of wisdom re wines. Please also suggest a few smooth merlots in the $20 price range if that even exists. Trying to enjoy the fun of these wines and get some benefits at the same time....heard it keeps cholesterol in check and I want to continue doing that also as I am getting older.
