Ben ole` bean, Don`t be huffy about MrD`s post. He`s Right as Rain. Until we see Lafitte, Mouton, Beaulieu Vineyard, Diamond Creek with plantings of vinifera "Strawberry" we`ll all stick to the grape. Yep, you`re rite aboput it being a fruit but it also has a history of making the worlds` greatest beverage when planted, cultivated, and vinified by estates with hundreds of tears of history. The fruit wines you`re trying to make are fun wines that are hit&miss in quality and have no way to improve into the nectar that great wines from grapes do. It`s like this is strawberry soda with a kick. Whatever you make remember, it `Aint gonna challenge Latour. winoweenie " I`ve tasted some Blueberry and strawberry wines that would rival the best of the vine"? You`re tasting of the best of the vine must be awfully limited.Maybe the best of the fruit juices tou`ve tasted?
