Welcome to the WineBoard, Ryan. Wente was a real pioneer in CA with Chardonnay. They were the first to use the varietal name, Chardonnay, on their labels way back in 1936. The Wente clone is probably the most planted Chardonnay in CA, also. All that said, their Chard isn't a real world beater, and certainly not one of the more sought after versions of the grape. Add to that, the 1984 should have been drunk within 5 years of the vintage, at most. The 1984 has no value and is about 20 years too ols to drink.
