Heat can do serious damage to wine. It can stand temps in the '70s for some time, but once it gets up into the 80's or higher damage comes quickly. In a state that I won't mention that lies between Maine and Vermont the state maintains a very large warehouse for the booze and wine it sells though its state liquor stores. It is not air conditioned. Therefore savy wine drinkers go out of state to buy their wine except for very fast movers.
