Hi JR and welcome to the board. Simply put , normally when the word Chateau is used it denotes that the wine was Estate Bottled. Also, in most cases, there is a primary residence on the property. ( Most times very impressive)Has nothing to do with quality, but most Chateaus` make pretty good stuff. Think you may have mis-read or posted as the only Chateau Beaucastel I know of is in the Rhone region of France not Burgandy. Happy Holidays.winoweenie
