That is not to say, however, that the label of the wine didn't "just say Cabernet". It might have. Yet the grape is Cabernet Sauvignon.

In order for a wine, here in the US, to have the grape name on the label it has to be 75% of that grape.

It could have been 90% Sauvignon and 10% Franc and they just called it Cabernet.

But again, as KC said, there is no singular Cabernet Grape. Both have a last name.
