Yes, another newbie. I generally don't like alcohol, but accepted the offer to taste a wine at Olive Garden a couple of months ago. (please don't throw anything). I really liked it, and now am very interested. It was a blush, and I bought another bottle at New Year's. Yesterday I bought a Merlot, for no other reason than I like the way the word sounds (PLEASE don't throw anything!), and the label description of the 1997 Meridian Vineyards bottle sounded great. I plan to try it tonight. Should I chill it briefly? I know the recommeneded temp is in the 60's range, but how do I take that temp? I feel so dumb, but also so excited. This new world will be a fun one!
