What happened to my taste?

Well. Interesting dilemma goin on here..
I started drinking wine a few months ago, I could smell and taste all the "fruits" and other flavors of several/most wines I tried. Now, for some reason, with most red wines (beaujolais, merlot, pino noir, etc.) all I smell and taste is WOOD. Tastes and smells like a wood crate or the like. What happened? Can anyone give some advice? I'd like to be able to smell and taste the wine again..... HELP!!
