The traditional matches for steak are Cab and Merlot...

These probably won't fit into your likes. I guess I would try, if they have a nice list, to get a Cotes du Rhone that has a high content of Syrah (ask the server) or a lower priced american syrah. These may fit your tasting preference and should match with the steak alright. Good luck, and let us know what you get and how it went.
