Your recommendation please

Hello,
I am new to the world of wine, and not familiar with the different varieties. I'm looking for a starting point.

I think I will probably prefer a fruity tasting wine with perhaps a touch of sweetness to the taste. Can you offer a recommendation of which types to focus on first?

Also, this needs to be a wine which is not prohibitively expensive, to be used for daily consumption.

Finally, regarding the alleged health benefits, would it be the same in whites as reds? How about dessert wines? Does the area of production make a difference ( France, US, Italy)?

Any information you are able to supply is greatly appreciated.
