A price point would help us focus suggestions, RL. Less than $10? Less than $20? Less than $40?

For example, you might try a Coppola Rosso, a blend of 49% Zinfandel, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Syrah, for all of about $10 as I recall. Try to identify the flavors you like in that blend and those you don't like, and maybe we can guide you from there.
