The only two things that I would add is examples that people can understand.

Tannin - unsweetened tea has a lot of tannin which dries out our mouth.

Acid - Lemonade is high in acid which actually makes your mouth water.

These are two things that everyone knows but probably don't realize it. Since they are so vitally important in a balanced wine and terms you hear all the time it's easier when people can relate it to things they already know.
