Hi Bern. Beringer, Sterling, B.V., Heitz, Mondavi, Ch. Montelena, Stags' Leap, Duckhorn, Flora Springs, Inglenook, Grigich Hills, Caymus, Dunn, Far Niente, Joseph Phelps,Ridge, Shafer,Silver Oak,Whitehall Lane,Kenwood,Spottswood,Arrowood, and Conn Creek are all among the old elite produvcers in Napa and Sonoma. Some date to the 1930s, some the 40s, and all from the 70s' so they have a track record. Beringer makes everything from their Founders to their Private Reserve which will hold its' own against any world class wine. Try the old boys out. They have a hold on their vineyards, vines, and grapes. WW
